World Pharmacist Day is a day of pharmacist, for the pharmacist, by the pharmacist, to highlight the achievements and dedication of their hard work towards the patients and healthcare system.
25th of September, 2013 was celebrated as World Pharmacist Day at Arts Council Karachi by Pharmacy Graduates’ Association (PGA) under the lights of knowledge and intelligence of Dr. Zain-ul-Hasnain, the Chief Patron of PGA, and its Team. The topics emphasized on this event were:
- The Role of Pharmacist in a Hospital Setting as a Clinical & Hospital Pharmacist
- Emphasis on a Collective Role of Pharmacist in Industry, Research & Academia
- New Researches in Oral Cancer
- Career Counseling
The World pharmacist Day was celebrated with a Cake Cutting Ceremony. On this day, as a chief guest, Dean of all faculties of pharmacies joined PGA. These all ideal personalities are there in the event to promote the young pharmacists.
The event was started by an informative presentation on oral cancer presented by Dr. Qaiser Sajjad. Then speech is headed by the entire invited chief guests to increase the moral of young pharmacists so we can have some shines of their long lasting experience in pharmacy and other healthcare systems. Then the seminar is followed by a memorable moment, our respectable leader, teacher, head Dr. Zain-ul-Hasnain was awarded with SITARA-E-IMTIAZ by Government of Pakistan and to deliver this award Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan was present who put a badge to Dr Zain-ul-Hasnain. The whole PGA feels really proud of him that he got such a big award from Government of Pakistan and it’s a great motivation for other pharmacists to work hard for this noble cause.
